Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009

June 1, 2009 by Tyrone

As a blogger, you have to do social climbing. You have to interact with fellow bloggers. And in recognition to their outstanding efforts in the blogosphere for the year 2009, I am casting my votes for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009 project of the influential blogger Janette Toral.

I would like to reiterate that I was not influenced by any other form of campaign nor I was compensated for my nominations. These are my own choices as my entry to the project and I would state the reasons why they are considered for me as influential blogs.

So here are my nominations in random order.

Adaphobic - Ada is the blogger behind Adaphobic. She is a registered nurse. Aside from being a press and events blogger, she is one of the three sisters behind the very successful friendster layout blog Vixen Art raking in huge cash from adsense which was rumored to be equivalent of the salary of a makati top executive. Congrats for that Ada. Nice meeting you at the iBLOG 5 Summit Event at UP Diliman.

Foreclosure Philippines - Jay Castillo is the blogger behind Foreclosure Philippines. I first met him when I attended a Land Banking Seminar conducted by Walton before. He is the only blogger I know who ventures into passive income by investing into foreclosed real estate properties here in the Philippines. He is an IT professional, a licensed real estate broker, and wants to achieve financial freedom by venturing into foreclosed properties that would build him assets and provide him passive income.

Patay Gutom - Jehz is the blogger behind this food blog. He is one of the famous Search Engine Optimization (SEO) guru here in the Philippines as evidenced by his blog Jehzlau Concepts. As a successful SEO blogger, he literally retired from work already at such a young age because he has enough income to support all his needs and wants from his blogging income. Despite his high online status, he generously teach his skills and techniques for the benefit of other bloggers.

Aside from the blogger behind this, the word “Patay Gutom” created a havoc in the blogosphere before for an issue raised by Carlo Ople of New Media. Lastly, here are some of the reasons why I voted for this blog.

Dona Victorina - This is a political blog that tackles different issues in the society. At first I was having hard time to dig on its archives as one of the requirements in the contest is that the blog started at least May 2008. I love reading the opinions stated by the bloggers behind this influential blog headed by Amiel Aguilar Cabanlig and Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles. I would say that they really chose the right domain name from the influential character in the novel Noli Me Tangere Donya Victorina.

Zalds - Zaldy is the blogger behind this blog. He is a successful internet affiliate marketer as evidenced by his $70 to $23K earnings in google.

Barrio Siete - Reynz is the lead blogger behind this blog and is considered as the Queen of Social Climbing here in the Philippines.

Good Times Manila - Sometimes, when we are stressed out, we need to laugh. And this humor and joke blog satisfy its purpose.

Father Blogger - Angel Cuala is the blogger behind this influential blog. He blogs about fatherhood, family and marriage. His life story is truly inspirational and the way it was written is quite remarkable.

You can read the Part 1 and Part 2 of his life story.

Daily Contributor - Randy Marasigan is the blogger behind this successful entertainment blog. With its heavy traffic, it emerged as the Top 1 Entertainment Blog in Top Blogs.

Millionaire Acts - No questions asked about this blog. This blog teaches about entrepreneurship, personal finance, investments, and self-motivation in order to achieve financial goals and ultimately financial freedom. A dedicated blog towards achieving a millionaire status!

So here are my nominations for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009.

Do you have a blog? Cast your own nominations too and you might win $100 in the raffle. This project won’t be possible if not for the sponsors:  Absolute Traders, My Brute Cheats, Business Summaries, Fitness Advantage Club, Events and Corporate Video, Events at Work, Dominguez Marketing Communications, Red Mobile, Budget hotel in Makati, Lucio C. Tan Group of Companies, and Blog4Reviews.com.
