These are successful business owners who have retired and now volunteer their services to those who are starting their businesses. I guess it would just be important to screen who I request to meet with based on whether they were S's or B's. But networking the ways suggested above are probably still the best ideas. In fact it is TANTAMOUNT for success! You have to pick the right one who is going places in your corporation or whatever you subscribe to do. I wouldn't have been able to get promoted to Vice President right after my 27th birthday at my firm if I didn't have two important mentors vouching for me. Business mentors are just coach and a guide for entrepreneurs. They've been there. It doesn't follow that if you have an intelligent and successful business mentor, your business would become successful too.
