Google does it again. It always lands in Fortune’s Best of the Best every single year, the only thing that varies is the ranking. It also is always included in the Most Preferred Employers List of other trades. Interesting, though, is that when it comes to CEO of the decade, the one who bagged that prize is Steve Jobs. Again, from Fortune. Wonder if we’ll see Google’s founders as Jobs’ successor in that category in, say, 10 years’ time?

Well, I guess it suffices to say that America has the best of the best companies in the world. That is a truth we need to admit.

Although I’ve done work for many of those companies, working at enterprises isn’t for everyone. There are a lot of small to medium sized companies that are amazing. Too bad Fortune is heavily influenced by partnerships, advertising, and other relationships.

My vote for honorable mention is Zappos. Tony has created an incredible brand, an amazing customer service reputation, and lovable company culture!

    Hey Tyrone,

Thanks for blogging on this. I’m no longer very updated on this, but there are companies aside from GS like Renaissance Technologies who are doing well on Wall Street. However, it is very secretive and there’s only few info regarding the company. You may want to look at the Wikipedia entry

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance_Technologies

Anyway, thanks again for the information.

    Tyrone Reply:

Thanks. I’ve viewed their profile. They are armed with genius people who run all their modeling.

The amount of $15 billion under management seems to be too big for a company that has only around 300 employees.

Their funds are made available to selected investors only as evidenced by their website. Very secretive. I just hope this is not another Madoff in the making.
