“Give and You Shall Receive”, Our First Charity Event

It’s the season of gift giving as the Christmas season approaches. We’ve heard of the saying “It’s always better to give than to receive”. What better time to start than now as the holiday season approaches? As Kiyosaki said, “The reason most people are not rich is simply because they are not generous enough”

While there are many ways to give back to society, one of the most important ways to give back is through charitable donations. Many people think that the rich are all greedy. That’s not true. Some rich people are greedy, just as some people are. But for every greedy rich person, there is a rich person who understands the importance of giving, and society is the better for it. Giving back allows you to experience the ultimate power of money. By giving back, you have the power to change society. Philanthropy will make you richer in spirit and may cause your name to outlive you.

As I continue my lessons about Kiyosaki’s “giving back”, the guru said that philanthropy has practical benefits. It reduces taxable income and is a boon to public relations. More importantly, generosity falls under the age-old law “The Law of Reciprocity”. It is the law that states “Give and You Shall Receive.” It is a law that has survived the test of the future. As Kiyosaki say, “When you create wealth, it’s your responsibility to return it to society.”

As a way of saying “Thank You Very Much” to the blessings that we’ve received, last Saturday, December 4, 2010, our outreach plan dubbed as “Paskong Paslit 2010” materialized at St. Michaels Parish in Hagonoy Taguig. Aside from my own contributions, I also involved in the community work itself. We coordinated with the locals to feed 60 kids from the poorest of the poor families.

The event started with various games and we gave out toys as prizes. The kids enjoyed a lot and we enjoyed playing with them too. We look forward to have this as a yearly event in December and I hope for all my readers, you could support us for this noble cause to help more people in the coming years. More pictures will be uploaded soon. Thank You and as Ateneans say, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (For the Greater Glory of God).
