Let me start this blog with my personal goals in life. I believe that each and every one of us had a purpose why we were born in this world. This purpose will become more meaningful if we have set up our own goals. This gives direction to our lives. It helps us choose where we want to go in life.
Life is full of paths. Sometimes it can even lead us to the wrong direction. By listing down our goals, we now know what we want to achieve and what distractions should be avoided. We now have a straight path to follow. It sets our priorities to which we can concentrate our efforts. It gives us motivation and it builds us self-confidence. The big question now lies on ’HOW’ to achieve these goals.
The more precise our goals are, the better because it gives us this inner force to achieve it. It can be divided to a short-term and long-term goals. A well-set goal characterizes five important points that can be easily remembered because of the word SMART. That is,
S – Significant
M – Manageable
A – Achievable
R - Realistic
T – Time-bound
Below are my short-term financial goals:
- To become a millionaire.
Below are my long-term financial goals:
- To have a dream house with swimming pool before I reached the age of 50.
- To have an asset which generates passive income before I reached the age of 40.
- To have a franchise of Jollibee before I die.
Personal & Career Goals:
- To shine professionally in my career.
- To find my wife with the same mindset as I do.
How about you? What are your goals? List it down and be determined to achieve them.
We should always remember that ‘All men who have achieved great things have been great dreamers’.

Hi, Tyrone.
Interesting site. congrats on starting early in life on your journey towards financial success.
I was mulling over your financial goals. given that you have SMART as your parameters, i was thinking how your goals seem to be too generally stated. how many millions are you aiming for and how much of a passive income? it it per year or per month?… and if you’re thinking of millions, then perhaps it would help readers see more peso bills than coins as we go farther down your site – just to get us into that ABUNDANT mindset.
anyway, was just thinking… congrats again!

Hi Ruth, thanks for the visit. While some of the goals here are generally stated most especially those classified as long-term financial goals, there has been continuous updates as time passes. My long-term goals will soon be translated to short-term goals as time passes and the latest update with regards to it is listed in one of my post entitled “wish list for year 2009″. With regards to the layout of the site, I do think that we cannot produce millions if we did not start from coins.
