ABC of Goal Achieving
Now you have finished setting up your own goals like I did, then we now answer the big ‘HOW’ question that lies in achieving the goals that we have listed.
Let me enumerate the steps in achieving these goals and this can be summarized by the first three letters of the alphabet, A-B-C.
A stands for ASPIRE - You start with what you want to achieve, what your dreams are. You say to yourself: “I WILL ACHIEVE THIS SOMEDAY”. This is what we did in the first part. List down your dreams and ambitions. Be concrete and detailed as much as possible. Make a checklist of your progress.
B stands for BELIEVE - After you have aspired, then you must believe in yourself. You say to yourself: “I CAN DO IT!”. I already saw a lot of people achieved this, if they can do it, why won’t I? You must possess the right attitude and discipline to stick to your checklist of goals.
C stands for COMMIT - The next step is to commit. This is the hardest part because your patience, attitude, and determinations will be put into real test. You say to yourself: “I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE UP!”. It’s a test for survival. Whoever survives wins and whoever gives up loses!
So there you have it, the ABC of Goal Achieving. If we ended up as a winner in the end, there’s a feeling of self-fulfillment. A great feeling of satisfaction! Definitely, we will treasure what we have worked for. We planted seeds during the early part and now is the time to harvest the fruits of our labor. On the contrary, if we ended up as a loser, don’t despair. Use your mistakes as advantages. Learn your lessons and avoid doing the same mistakes again.
What’s next?
If we have the first letters A-B-C, then the next letter is D. And it stands for DONATE. In this last step, you say to yourself: “THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS!” And because you are so blessed, then it’s time to share it. We feel deep inner happiness, peace, and contentment within ourselves when we give especially to the less privileged. After all, you can’t carry these material possessions when you’re already dead.
