Money Is Not All
All of us are working to provide for our basic needs - shelter, food, clothes, etc. Some of us also wants a nice house, cars, gadgets, and all other luxuries in life. And what do we need in order to satisfy these needs and wants? - MONEY.
In order to provide these needs, we need to regularly save our paychecks so that we can invest in our future. Money may indeed solve these problems of our basic needs because we need it in order to survive but it can also create more problems. The ultra rich who have millions and even billions of money feel scared. In fact, a lot of them live in houses with high security fences and even equipped with high security cameras because they are afraid of being broken into. In contrast, the poorest of the poor, feel sad. They live in walls without houses and they don’t know where and how to get on their next meal.
If the rich do feel scared about their wealth and the poor do feel sad, money therefore is neither the source of happiness nor the solution to one’s problems. MONEY IS NOT ALL.
In fact, if you will dig a lot deeper, the things that we truly need are not expensive luxuries like houses, cars, jewelries, etc. but the truth is that they are FREE. Yes, you heard it right, the things that truly satisfy us are free - laughter, family, genuine friends, love. They all cost nothing.
You may have all the wonders in the world. You may live in a very nice house. You may own various cars and other luxuries but there are hidden wonders in the world that money cannot buy. These are the simplest of things. That is, to see, to hear, to feel, to smell, to taste, to laugh, and to love.
There is no doubt that money is indeed a need to satisfy our basic needs but MONEY IS NOT ALL.

I used to envy people who were born with golden spoon in their mouth. I thought they are happy because they can have everything they want. But I was mistaken. Some of them are very miserable. And I realized I am even luckier.

so true! the best things in life are FREE! I think that they are priceless because they’re just too expensive to be exchanged for money… gets? hahaha! a bit philosophical? however, i have found out that im happier when i have money than when i dont have a penny in my pocket… hahaha!!!

I agree with you ice_hot, totally!!! I’ve tried having money and being broke. I’d rather have money, and it really is easier to be happy! Think about it, how can you be happy if you have nothing to feed your family? If a loved one badly needs financial assistance, I feel happy when I am able to help. Money may not be all but it affects almost all things we hold dear in life.
