Among my readers, there were two that stood out. Thanks to someone from Brampton Ontario Canada who visits my page everyday and had a total of 62 returning visits. And also to someone living in Dubai United Arab Emirates who also visits my site often having a total of 23 returning visits. And to all other readers, thanks for Happy New Year to all!! This will be my first post for this year. This year 2009 is the Year of the Earth Ox. According to Chinese Feng Shui, the Ox is a symbol of prosperity through hard work. It is a sign of a leader possessing an ability to excel and to achieve great things.
A lot of us have new year’s resolutions, goals and wish list each new year. Each new year means new life and new goals. It is a time to change bad attitudes, time to persevere more, and time to achieve more Today is the last stock trading day here in the Philippines since there will be a long vacation in celebration of Christmas and New Year from December 25 to January 4.
This is also the time that I will update my networth for the month of December. I’ve been monitoring my stock trading portfolio from time to time and definitely it is a bear market with market value turnover of less than a million. I invested at the wrong time.
Since this will be my second update, the basis of I first learned about stocks two years ago, that was in 2006. But then I did not take it seriously. The first trade that I did was a JFC stock thru BPI Trade, the online trading platform of BPI bank.
I remembered, I bought 100 shares of JFC at above market value back then just to have a match with my buy order because I have been placing my order for a few days already but there was no match. The market value was Php 42 and I bid for a buy at Php 44. Presto! It’s an instant match! But |
