The internet had really managed to democratize the world and now each one of us is able to write and share his thoughts and manage to reach a huge number of people worldwide. Back in the early days, only writers and famous individuals were able to do that, but now the internet allows us all.
For any of us, a blog acts like a scene in the center of a crowd, enabling us to share what we think. That is why blogging is trending. But other question arises: isn’t a blog a potential source of online income and aren’t there other sources of income available for all of us? Surely, the answer is yes.
Because of that, I designed a short guide for blogging and marketing platforms that will help any person who wants to make a living out of online sources. I’ll try to give you a few simple tips that could literally make a difference and generate results.
Design a plan
Before you jump in with the process, pause for a minute. Take a piece of paper and write down all your objectives. What you really like to do, what is your passion, who do you want to help, what niche do you want to choose, what expectations do you have for the first year or three years etc.? It is absolutely critical to know what you want to achieve and set clear, measurable and realistic goals.
Act in accordance with your plan
Now is the time to put you to work. Step by step, your plan needs to be implemented. Flexibility is the most important aspect here. Some steps might be useless, or maybe you don’t need to do every one of them. Constantly adjust as you move forward, according to the circumstances.
Being very flexible and being able to adapt to changes as they appear is one of the most difficult things to do, but you have to learn and get used to doing it.
Below are some of the things that you should think of when you are planning to start a blog:
1. Choosing a Domain Name – Your domain name is your brand. Some might choose their name to be their domain. Other’s would think of a catchy domain for easy recall. In any case, make sure your domain name has a story because story sells. In addition, you should think of a domain name that is short and easy to remember.
After choosing a domain name, the next thing to do is to check if your domain name is still available. You can actually check if it’s still available or not by typing the domain at Who.Is. If it’s available, then you can buy the domain via GoDaddy.
2. Choosing a Blogging Platform – After choosing your domain, the next thing that you should consider is choosing a blogging platform. WordPress and Blogger is the most used platforms when you want to make money online. Each platform has its pros and cons.
If you want to customize more of your blog, then choose WordPress. However, choosing WordPress means you have to incur additional hosting expenses as oppose to Blogger which has its own host provided by Google. In addition, Blogger has a limited customization versus WordPress.
3. Stick to your plan. How often do you intend to write articles on your blog? How many articles do you plan to publish every month? The more articles, the better but it will definitely consume some of your time composing articles.
How do you intend to market your blog and its articles? Will it be via paid campaigns? Forum posting? Commenting and guest posting to other blogs of the same niche? If content is King, I can say that marketing is Queen. Without readers, even the best articles are useless.
Passive income while helping others is the ultimate goal
Aside from helping readers by providing value to them, the other reason why you should start blogging or using an online marketing platform is that you want to make money out of it.
A blog or a marketing platform just like Clicksdealer.com can offer you an opportunity to generate passive income, without being required to work all day long.
As a famous investor once said, you must learn to put money to work, not work for money, so that is exactly what you need to do.
